Mangaluru, Dec 11: The joyous Christmas evening was celebrated at Lourdes ward, Kalwai B of St Dominic Church, Ashoknagar, on December 9 at Mable Machado's house. More than 80 ward members graced the evening. The celebration started with a welcome note from the ward chief, Ronald Colaco, followed by a prayer from the ward members.

The elders joined their voices when the children sang melodious Christmas carols in Konkani, Kannada, and English. The crowd resonated with the joy of Christmas.

Dimple Menezes shared the Christmas message to the gathering with a strong emphasis on love, service, and forgiveness, the core values of Christmas.

All the children danced with delight as Santa Claus joined them. Children and youth gave mesmerizing dance and song performances. The audience was super thrilled to participate in spot games.

Parish vice president Maxim Crasta spoke about the birth of Jesus Christ and the importance of the season.

Santa Claus, ward chief Ronald Colaco, and ward representative Pramila D'Souza distributed the gifts to kids and the winners of the spot games. Emcee Joy Fernandes hosted the evening. Richard Gonsalves thanked the audience.

People savored the delicacy of Christmas - Kuswar and the celebration ended with delicious food.
