Bantwal: Owner of Kambala buffaloes falls to death from building

Bantwal, Dec 13: In a heart-wrenching incident, Sunder Poojary (55), the owner of Kambala buffaloes, lost his life while engaged in the demolition of a building in Tenkakajekar, Badakajekar gram panchayat limits, Bantwal on December 11.

Sunder Poojary, a resident of Kulenjikodi, Badakajekar grama, and a skilled mason by profession, met with the unfortunate accident while breaking the roof of Vijaya Temple in Tenkakajekar. During the process, he fell to the ground along with a slab he was attempting to remove from the wall. Despite sustaining serious injuries, Sunder Poojary succumbed to his wounds while being rushed to Bantwal government hospital.

The Punjalkatte police station has registered a case in connection with the incident. Sunder Poojary is survived by his wife, a son, and two daughters.

Beyond his profession as a mason, Sunder Poojary had also made a mark as the owner of Kambala buffaloes for the past six years. His Kambala buffaloes had achieved notable success, winning several prizes. The community mourns the loss of a skilled professional and a dedicated owner within the Kambala events.
