Kaup, Dec 13: In a late-night incident on Monday, December 12, a car traveling from Udupi to Mangaluru lost control near Koppalangadi mosque on NH 66, crashing into a roadside light pole before overturning.

The car, bearing a Kerala registration number, suffered significant damage, resulting in the breakage and collapse of the roadside light pole. The driver, identified as Alzail, and the occupants of the vehicle sustained minor injuries in the accident. They were promptly admitted to a private hospital for medical attention.

Ajay, a sub-officer (SO) from Mescom, has filed a police complaint stating that Mescom has incurred a loss of Rs 1.5 lac due to the incident. The police have visited the accident site to conduct an inspection and gather further details about the circumstances surrounding the crash.
