Udupi, Dec 14: Perampalli ward by-election Congress candidate Shruthi submitted her nomination paper on December 14 at Udupi City Municipality Council.
For the by-election taking place on December 27, leaders of Udupi Congress block, Ramesh Poojary, Sathish Puttran, Ganesh Nergi, Maxim D’Souza, Nazeer Yakub, Madhav Bannanje, Anand Poojary, Mamatha Shetty and Dion D’Souza are appointed as in-charge for the election.
Before submitting nomination paper, candidate Shruthi visited Congress office in Brahmagiri and sought support and blessings from Congress leaders and activists.
Ramesh Kanchan, president Udupi block congress, Kishan Hegde Kolkebail, working president, Congress leaders, M A Ghafoor, Kushal Shetty, district Congress vice-president Prakyath Shetty, Mahila congress president Geetha Wagle, and other leaders were present.
