NM WhatsApp group and NB Facebook group raises Rs 157000 for urgent Brain Hemorrhage treatment

Udupi, Dec 17: In a remarkable display of community solidarity, the NM (Naaikr Makkal) WhatsApp group swiftly mobilized funds amounting to Rs 1,57,000 to aid in the urgent medical treatment of Jayashainy who suffered from a brain hemorrhage. The incident prompted a rapid response from members of the group, reflecting the power of collective compassion and quick action in times of need.

Jayashainy's medical expenses, totaling Rs 1,57,000, were efficiently addressed through a combination of contributions. The NM Group, primarily administered by Praveen Carvalho, Alwyn Andrade along with Nammuru Barkur Facebook group supported by local individuals including Sudarshan, Ravi Pujari, Ravish Shreyan, Dinesh Pigmi, and Sujatha Venkatesh, played a pivotal role in orchestrating the fundraiser.

The breakdown of the funds reveals a generous contribution of Rs 1,12,500 from the NM group members. Additionally, the remaining funds were graciously provided by NB Group members and Helping Hand Israel. Jayashainy Thareshwari aged 30 was working in a beauty parlour in Brahmavar. She is a mute by birth. She was diagnosed with brain hemorrhage few days ago. As she was a single mother and was not having any financial backups NB Barkur team came forward to help her in her difficult times.
