Mangalore, Sep 15: In a tragedy that came into light on Thursday September 15, a boat carrying seven fishermen met with an accident as a result of which six persons in the boat are missing in the sea.

Due to the roughness of the sea, the boat Ocean Fisher-2 happened to hit a sunken ship and lost its balance. It is assumed that following this accident the fishermen who were in the boat were thrown into water.

Driver of the boat Srikanth was rescued and the search is on for remaining six fishermen. These seven people had gone fishing nine days ago. The boat is owned by one Barkath.

Due to the heavy rains in the past few days the roughness of the sea had increased. Even the other fishermen’s boats were struggling to return. This particular boat which was the victim of tragedy was waiting near Alive Bagilu for safe return. But due to high waves it would have hit the sunken ship and the engines and gears of the boat were damaged.
