Udupi washroom video case: CID completes probe, no evidence found

Bengaluru, Mar 19: The CID has completed the investigation into the case of Udupi college toilet video case.

Few students of a certain religion had shot a video of their fellow classmates belonging to different religion. As soon as the victim had noticed the incident the victim student had questioned this and the issue was brought to the notice of the college administration. This incident took place on July 26, 2023 in Udupi Paramedical College.

On completing the investigation after ten months, the CID (CID Investigation) has submitted a 1,100-page charge sheet to the Udupi court. A charge sheet has been submitted against three students and 32 have been considered as key evidence. During the CID investigation, three young women have confessed the act said the sources. But the students filed a statement that the video was deleted immediately. The statement of the students about the video shooting is considered as the main evidence.

No evidence was found in the report issued by Ahmedabad FSL. The FSL organization has given a report that the video has been deleted on the mobile and the video has not been retrieved.

The officials there agreed to retrieve the mobile after payment was made by the state government
