Mumbai, Oct 7: Now that's news! Actress Genelia D'Souza is officially engaged to actor Riteish Deshmukh.

The engagement bash was thrown at Riteish's father and former Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh's residence.

The engagement took place about a fortnight ago in a clandestine manner with no celebrity guest list. The only people present for the ceremony were close family members and friends.

Now that the ring is on the finger, the wedding date will soon be fixed.

The couple have been dating each other for almost seven years. Even though they kept their romantic relationship low key, the media was well aware of it.

Buzz is that the duo tried their best to convince Riteish's family as they wanted Riteish to marry a girl from the same community.
