Stage actress Bhavani Lakminarayan Shetty passes away

Mumbai, Apr 25: Bhavani Lakminarayan Shetty (82.) a well-known veteran stage actress in Brihanmumbai, died of age-related ailments at her home in Mulund a suburb of India.

She had earned her reputation in the theater by acting in a play by the renowned dramatist of the country, Kodu Bhoja Shetty. She was famous for singing thousands of riddles and folk songs melodiously.

The deceased is survived by her son Manoj Kumar Shetty, daughter Seema Marnad, son-in-law Mohan Marnad, daughter-in-law Utpala Manoj Shetty. Family members said that the funeral of the deceased will be held at the Rudrabhoomi on Mulund Dumpig Road West at 3 pm on Friday, April 26.
