Mumbai, Oct 6: Actress Kunickaa Sadanand’s mother, Kalyani Sadanand, passed away at the age of 83 in Goa.
The actress took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a throwback picture of her mother and announce the news to her followers.
In an emotional note, Kunickaa expressed gratitude to her mother for the love, guidance and confidence she had given her.

“My Mumma, I love you, thank you for everything you have given me, the love, the guidance, the confidence to dream and dare the world, the looks, the personality, the strength to endure what life bestows on me. My darling Empress Mrs Kalyani Sadanand, you will always be alive in the hearts of the ppl you touched, friends and family remember you as this fun loving joyful friendly person, who always had something nice and witty to share,” she wrote.
She further said she was sure her mother was happy to be reunited with her siblings and loved ones.
“I’m sure you are happy to be united with your siblings and your loved ones. Rest in Peace my Mumma, you fulfilled all your responsibilities with utmost love and care, as a wife, a mother, sister, a grand mother, and all the other relationships in your life,” she added.
Kalyani’s last rites will be performed in Goa, while the other rituals will later be conducted in Mumbai.
On the professional front, Kunickaa, who was seen in ‘Bigg Boss 19’, had earlier spoken about delayed payments faced by new television actors. She said the issue has persisted since the boom in the television industry.
She added that payments often get delayed by 45 to 90 days. Explaining the reason, she said the corporate system contributes to the delay as television channels first receive payments from advertisers, which are then passed on to producers.
