Usher to be Honoured for Philanthropy


London, Oct 13 (IANS): Singer Usher is to be honoured with an award in recognition of his charity work.

He will be presented the Philanthropy Freedom Award from the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, Tennessee next month in honour of his work with his New Look Foundation, reports contactmusic.com.

The organisation helps youngsters get certificates in leadership skills and also raised funds for victims of 2005's Hurricane Katrina and the Haiti earthquake.
