Mangaluru: Summons issued to 101 protest participants for Suratkal toll gate closure

Mangaluru, May 4: Summons have been served to 101 eminent individuals who participated in the protest aimed at closing the Suratkal toll gate.

The police have filed a case against these 101 individuals, accusing them of trespassing police barricades and obstructing traffic on the highway.

Among those named in the case are Mithun Rai, Pratibha Kulai, Shashidhar Hegde, and Munir Katipalla.

    Why summons ? The toll gate was illegal and crores were collected over the years !!!!!. Instead of refunding the amount collected these innocent people are harassed by the Police . Where is the Congress party ? They should uphold free speech and the right to peaceful protest .
