Mumbai, Oct 13: Living legend of Indian film industry, Amitabh Bachchan who turned 69 on October 11, says that he is eagerly looking forward to the birth of his new grandchild.

His daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai is due to deliver next month. Incidentally, the news of Ash's pregnancy was first broken by Big B on his blog some months ago.

Since then, a lot of stories have been doing the rounds, including the Ash-Madhur Bhandarkar clash over the movie 'Heroine' from which the former Miss World backed out and returned the cheque.

On the day of his birthday, a visibly excited Amitabh said that he was waiting for the big moment and hoping that all would go smoothly.

Even at 69, he expressed his desire to many more roles in movies, especially the challenging types. The enthusiasm of his younger colleagues and his own love and passion for cinema keep him going, he added.

The superstar was flooded with messages and wishes from all corners of the world. Overwhelmed by the response, Big B said that it was a humbling moment for him to see his well-wishers pray for his good health and prosperity.

"I am truly humbled by the love and affection given to me by my fans over the years. I never thought I would achieve all this in my life. As always, I will be celebrating my birthday with my family," he said.
