Udupi, May 29: A complaint has been filed at the Udupi town police station against a doctor based at a hospital in Padubidri for treating an accused involved in the Udupi gang war that occurred on May 18.
According to the complaint, Sharieef, an accused and injured party in the Udupi gang war, stated that he was attacked by six youths on May 18, while standing near Sharada Kalyana Mantap in Udupi City. He was reportedly attacked with a sword and severely hit by a car driven by the other accused. Subsequently, he was taken to a private hospital in Padubidri by fellow accused involved in the incident, where he received treatment from Dr George Saji.

Dr George Saji has been booked for intentionally not informing the local police station about the incident, despite it being under the purview of law enforcement.
