Udupi: Three more arrested in connection with gang war on national highway

Udupi, May 26: The Udupi city police have arrested three more individuals in connection with the gang war involving the Garuda gang that occurred in the early hours of May 19 at Kunjibettu on the Udupi-Manipal National Highway. This brings the total number of arrests to six.

The main accused, Ashik (26) from Kapu Kombagudde, Rakib (21) from Tonse Hooda, and San (26), were arrested by the police on May 25. According to top officials, the police have intensified their operation, leading to the additional arrests.

Sharif, who was injured after being hit by a car seen in a video of the incident, is among the three recently arrested. Sources indicate that he has already received treatment for his injuries.
