Udupi, Jun 13: “We deeply regret the tragic fire accident at Kuwait. Our prayerful thoughts are with those of the family of the deceased and also we pray for the speedy recovery of the injured," said Dr Arathi Krishna, deputy chairman of non-resident Indian forum Karnataka.

In an official press note Dr Arathi Krishna said, “The NRI Forum-Karnataka is in touch with the Indian Embassy in Kuwait and coordinating the rescue and repatriation process. The local Karnataka organizations are updating us.”

She further said, “We are waiting for the feedback from the authorities regarding the latest updates on the status of casualties. We will be able to confirm once the authorities provide us with the official information.”
