Kundapur, Jun 16: Starting with the humble goal of providing quality technical education in the rural areas of Moodlakatte, Kundapur, the vision of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology (MIT) has now expanded significantly with the establishment of the IMJ Institute of Science and Commerce on its sprawling campus.
The Moodlakatte Institute of Technology was the brainchild of the late I M Jayaram Shetty, former MP and MLA, who aimed to provide quality technical education and training in Moodlakatte for deserving, talented students. The institution, founded in 2004, offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to excel in the dynamic field of engineering.
With the implementation of NEP 2020, the IMJ Institute of Science and Commerce, affiliated with Mangalore University, was established in 2022 in memory of its founder, I M Jayaram Shetty.

IMJ Institute of Science and Commerce, affiliated with Mangalore University, is a degree college established in 2022 in memory of the founder, the late I M Jayaram Shetty. The institute offers bachelor's degree programs in Commerce (B.Com), Management (BBA), and Computer Applications (BCA). These courses are reinforced by career-oriented professional guidance and training, as well as certificate courses in AIML, Data Analysis, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Practical Accounting, and Taxation.
