Moodbidri: Parent orientation programme held at Carmel School

Moodbidri, Jun 21: At Carmel School, every interaction is cherished as an opportunity to foster positive change and ensure the holistic development and success of students. With this ethos in mind, a parent orientation programme was conducted on June 19. Focusing on essential parenting skills of the 21st century, alongside demonstrations of Abacus and speed maths and a public speaking course.

The event was expertly compered by Yashodha and Reema.

The programme commenced with a melodious prayer song invoking divine blessings, followed by an enchanting welcome dance presented by the talented students. The welcome speech at was delivered by Namratha, Clara, and Prajwal. Each brought unique perspectives and valuable insights to the gathering.

Sr Maria Gracilda AC the principal expressed heartfelt gratitude to the parents for their active participation and support. The resource person was welcomed by Sr Gracilda and Sr Preena with potted saplings

The event was graced by Sr Preena AC the vice principal, Sr Ranitha AC the coordinator, Jossy Menezes the vice president of PTA.

Their presence underscored the school's commitment to collaborative efforts in shaping the educational journey of every child.

The programme comprised three insightful sessions. Abacus and Speed Maths by Gururaj D Hegde, the founder director of Generation Next. Gururaj introduced Abacus and Speed Maths as effective tools for enhancing mathematical skills providing practical insights and techniques.

Public speaking course by Y S Adappa the founder of Accolades academy. Y S Adappa guided parents on nurturing confidence and overcoming stage fear in children emphasizing essential skills for future success.

Parenting Skills by Sreedevi maam the freelancer academician from Ratna Sagar Pvt Ltd. Sreedevi Maam, shared invaluable parenting tips and addressed queries from parents facilitating a meaningful exchange of ideas.

Following the insightful presentations and discussions, the vote of thanks was delivered by Pramila, Dina, and Anusha. They expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their active engagement and valuable contributions throughout the session.

The sessions concluded on a high note with refreshments, fostering informal interactions and networking among parents and teachers. Overall, the orientation programme was deeply enriching ensuring a satisfying experience for all participants.
