Mangaluru: The Yenepoya School observes International Day Against Drug Abuse

Mangaluru, Jun 27: The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was observed in The Yenepoya School. A special assembly was organized by Grade VIII June 26.

The assembly commenced with the prayer and school Anthem, which was followed by the welcome address. An apt and informative speech and the PowerPoint presentation about the impact of drug consumption were given by the students who also cited live examples in their speech.

The esteemed guests Dr Rachna Prabhu, sub inspector Raghuvendra Naik, and the sub inspector Hussain Saheb applauded the efforts of the students and delivered a speech on the drug abuse. The students were asked to take a pledge.

The associate director, Anthony Joseph gave the presidential remarks. He then honoured the guests with the memento. The swimming champions Wafi Abdul Hakeem and Nihal M Poojari were felicitated by the guests.

The assembly concluded with the vote of thanks and national anthem.
