Udupi: Reservation details for municipal, town panchayat posts announced

Udupi, Aug 5: The Department of Urban Development has released the reservation list for the president and vice-president posts of municipal councils, city councils, and town panchayats on Monday, August 5.

The state government has announced reservations for 61 municipal councils, 123 city councils, and 117 town panchayats. The details are as follows:

  • Udupi Municipal Council: President position reserved for General Category; vice-president position reserved for general category woman.
  • Kapu City Council: President position reserved for general category Woman; vice-president position reserved for Scheduled Caste.
  • Karkala City Council: President position reserved for general category; vice-president position reserved for general category.
  • Kundapur City Council: President position reserved for general category; vice-president position reserved for general category woman.
  • Saligrama Town Panchayat: President position reserved for general category woman; vice-president position reserved for Backward Class (A) woman.
  • Byndoor Town Panchayat: President position reserved for Backward Class (A) woman; vice-president position reserved for Backward Class (B).
