Udupi, Aug 6: Jayakar Suvarna, the Udupi district correspondent for Doordarshan, passed away on Monday night following a heart attack. He was 69.
Suvarna was a former president of the District Working Journalists' Association and an active member of the Photographers' Association (SKPA).
He is survived by his wife, three children, and numerous relatives.
The final viewing will be held at his residence in Kalmady at 10:30 am, with the last rites to be conducted later on Tuesday.
