ICYM Moodbidri zone celebrates International Youth Day

Moodbidri, Aug 12: Yuva Ektaar 2024, a day-long information workshop was held for youths of Moodbidri zone at the auditorium of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour church Gantalkatte on August 11 by ICYM Moodbidri zone and ICYM Gantalkatte unit.

Vicar General of Moodbidri zone and director of ICYM Moodbidri Fr Onil D’Souza inaugurated the programme. Fr Ronald D’Souza, parish priest of Gantalkatte Our Lady of Perpetual Succour was the chief guest. He also held discussion the subject Youth and Today’s Christian community. Vice president of Gantalkatte church Sunil Miranda, secretary of church pastoral committee Lydia D’Souza, convener of 21 Ayog Alwyn Menezes, ICYM president of Mangalore Diocese Winston Sequeira, ICYM treasurer of Mangalore Diocese and Moodbidri zonal nodal officer Reena Crasta, Moodbidri zonal president Jevin D’Souza and secretary Glany Colace were present on the dais.

Jevin D’Souza welcomed. Eshaan Menezes rendered vote of thanks. Nishan D’Silva compered the event.

Special mass was offered for the youth. Fr Ashwin Cardoza, director of Mangalore diocese ICYM was the main celebrant of the Mass. 150 youths of Moodbidri zone took part in the event.
