Udupi, Aug 12: “The hidden talents of the children can be brought to the broad light when they are given proper encouragement and stage for exposing the talents” said Samaga Narasimha Acharya of Jyothir Niketanam Matapady.

He was speaking at the patriotic songs singing cultural competition organized by the Friends Matapady Youth Club for the invited school children.

Acharya highlighted the significance of nurturing student talents through events like the patriotic cultural competition, especially as India marks 78 years of independence within the framework of the constitution. He praised the efforts of the organizers for creating a platform for students to express their patriotism and talents.

The event was attended by Holy Family Church ward gurkar Joseph Banz, businessman Yusuf Syed, civil contractor Sandesh Poojari, Friends Youth Club Matapady honorary advisor Steven Sequeira, president Sharath Nayak, and general secretary Akhilesh Nayak.

Following the inauguration, the invited local school students participated in the patriotic cultural competition. The competition was judged by Abhijith Pandeshwar, Sushmita Saligram, and Swapna Kishore Bhandary.

Former president Subrahmanya Acharya welcomed the gathering, and cultural secretary Bharat Nayak delivered the vote of thanks. Akhila Hegde led the prayer, and journalist Chetan Matapady compered the programme.
