Kundapur: Senior Congress leader Jacob D’Souza passes away at 64

Kundapur, Aug 17: Jacob D’Souza (64), a prominent senior Congress leader and former vice president of Kundapur town municipality, passed away on Saturday morning following a brief illness.

Jacob D’Souza, a resident of Kundapur Sangam, was a well-respected figure in the community. He was elected as a member of the Kundapur town municipality three times and also served as the president of the Urban Development Authority. In addition to his political career, he was active in the cooperative sector, notably serving as vice president of the Rosary Credit Cooperative Society.

He is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.

The final rites for Jacob D’Souza will be held on Sunday at Our Lady of Rosary Church. His mortal remains will be kept for public viewing at his residence at 11 am on Sunday, August 18. A procession will carry his body from his home to the church at 3:30 pm, as announced in the publication.
