Udupi: Car driver dies from suffocation while sleeping in vehicle

Udupi, Aug 17: A car driver from Chikkamagaluru died from suffocation while sleeping inside his vehicle overnight in Manipal.

Ananda (37), a native of Chikkamagaluru, had travelled to Manipal to accompany a person from his hometown for medical treatment at KMC Manipal. After getting the patient admitted to the hospital, Ananda decided to sleep in his car with all the windows completely shut.

Tragically, it is believed that Ananda died due to suffocation caused by the lack of ventilation in the closed vehicle. A case has been registered at the Manipal police station.
