Bantwal: Manchi Milk Producers' Co-op Society, Kukkaje announces 20% annual dividend to farmers

Bantwal, Aug 21: The annual general meeting of Manchi Milk Producers Cooperative Society Ltd, Kukkaje for the year 2023-2024 was held on Tuesday, August 20, under the chairmanship of Nishchal G Shetty at Sri Siddhivinayaka Temple, Kukkaje.

The society's total transactions for the current year amounted to Rs 1,97,05,345, with a net profit of Rs 6,86,150. A bonus of Rs 3,27,832 was distributed to the farmers. Prizes were awarded to society members who supplied the most milk: Nishchal Shetty (first), Bhaskar Manewarta (second), and Shashiraj (third). Farmers who supplied milk throughout the year in two shifts were also honored with incentive prizes.

Muralidhar Alva, who served as the society’s president for the past eighteen years, was felicitated. Shreya, daughter of society member Pushparaj Kukkaje, who scored 96% in the PUC Science stream, was also honored.

South Canara Milk Producers' Union director Subhadra Rao and deputy manager Dr Keshav Sulli provided dairy-related information to the farmers.

Former society presidents Ram Kishore Manchi and Manchi Agricultural Service Cooperative Society president B Umar were present at the event. Extension officer Prafulla P V presented the financial accounts, and society secretary Shivashankar Rao read the report.

Society vice president Keshav Rao welcomed the attendees, and director Chandappa proposed a vote of thanks.
