Udupi: Pedestrian injured in accident succumbs

Udupi, Aug 22: A pedestrian who sustained severe head injuries after being struck by an autorickshaw in Parkala on NH 169 has succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

The deceased, Ashok Shettigar, was walking near Parkala three days ago when an auto-rickshaw overturned and fell on him. He passed away on Thursday in the hospital.

Ashok was employed at MIT and was an active member of the BJP.

He is survived by his wife, son, daughter, and other relatives.
