Udupi: Hebbar Gallery and Arts Centre to host folk legacy from Rajasthan on Aug 23

Udupi, Aug 22: The Hebbar Gallery and Arts Centre (HGAC) will be hosting a live music performance by acclaimed artistes from Jodhpur on Friday, August 23 at 6 pm at the Gangubai Hanagal Auditorium at the Manipal Centre for Humanities.

This special live music performance will showcase four indigenous instruments: Sindhi sarangi, dholak, morchang and khartal.

All four instruments originate in Rajasthan and north India and are widely used in the traditional folk and devotional soundscape of the region.

The performance is free and open to all. Seating is on a first come first serve basis. Doors close at 6:15 pm.
