Mangaluru: Live dog dumped in garbage truck, sparks outrage

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Sep 11: In a shocking incident in Dongarakeri, a live dog was handed over to a garbage collection vehicle by its owners. The family, which resides abroad, had left an elderly woman to take care of the house. The dog had reportedly caused some disturbances recently, which led to its owners giving it to the garbage disposal workers.

The garbage workers, without raising any objections, transported the dog along with the trash to the Pacchanady landfill. Local residents captured the incident on video, which surfaced two days later and quickly went viral on social media.

Following this, the animal husbandry department issued a notice to the city corporation, seeking an explanation. Efforts to locate the dog in the Pacchanady area are currently underway, but it remains missing.

If you had a dog your thoughts would be different. Dogs are the most faithful animals much better than humans. People should not venture into keeping dogs and abandon it if they cant keep it. They are very attached to their human parents till their death.

Our Creator has arranged such that there are more takers than throwers. Just go around a few villages, how poor they may be you will hardly find a house without dog and cat.

The person who has lost humanity can only commit such a heinous act. A dog is a loyal animal, a thousand times more loyal and loving than a human. Shame on the person who threw a living dog into a garbage truck.

This looks like connivance with civic workers by payment of money to shift the live dog away from the home locality... Owning a pet has its own human responsibilities and such behavior is not acceptable... Dog must have sensed the utter lack of empathy and may have disappeared in disgust and anguish....
