Moodbidri, Sep 13: A Guru Vandana programme was held at the Swastishree Jain Vasti Pre-University College on September 13 afternoon, under the divine presence and blessings of Jagadguru Swastishree Dr Bhattaraka Charukeerthi Panditacharyavarya Mahaswamiji, the head of the Jain Mahasansthan at Sri Digambara Jain Math, Jainkashi, Moodbidri.

In his address, Swamiji remarked that performing worship and seeking the blessings of elders, along with meaningful charity, is a key aspect of Indian culture and an ideal way to celebrate a birthday.

Bindya Sharath Kumar Shetty, the special guest from Inner Wheel Club, Moodbidri, presented sports equipment and a book cupboard to the college students on behalf of the club.

In honor of her daughter Kumari Bhoomi's birthday, Bindya distributed sweets to the students. Principal Saumyasree welcomed the gathering, and lecturer Pavanasree delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was attended by the college's lecturers and students.
