Bantwal: Gold valued in lacs stolen by breaking rear door of house

Bantwal, Nov 19: A burglary occurred in Mankude, Vittal, on Tuesday during the daytime, where gold valued in lacs was stolen after burglars broke into a house through the rear door.

The theft took place at the house of Ganesh Shetty, a resident of Kalkaje in Mankude, Vittal.

The incident happened when Ganesh Shetty’s wife had gone to the market. Taking advantage of her absence, the thieves broke the rear door and entered the house.

Once inside, the burglars looted gold jewelry worth lacs from a cupboard in a room and fled the scene.

Vittal police arrived at the spot and have conducted an investigation.
