Record-breaking Kambala season

This year’s Kambala marks a milestone, with three major events in one year. The first Kambala took place on March 16, followed by the second on August 19, organised by the Loretto Hills Rotary Club. Now, the third edition is set to captivate audiences on Saturday, November 23, with over 200 buffalo pairs expected to compete.

The event’s infrastructure has been enhanced, with 4 acres allocated for parking and 3.5 acres for buffalo resting areas. Additionally, large cement pipes have been installed to prevent water from flooding the track during monsoons, ensuring smooth racing year-round.

Celebrities to join festivities

This year’s Kambala will feature a star-studded lineup, including renowned music director Gurukiran and actors Jaggesh, Vijay Raghavendra, Raj B Shetty, and Nireeksha Shetty, adding a touch of glamour to the traditional race.

The event is set to be a spectacular celebration of culture and sport, with dignitaries and celebrities joining the festivities, making it one of the most anticipated events of the year.
