Bantwal, Dec 9: Pradeep Nayak, a staff member of KMC Hospital, Mangaluru, has been widely lauded for his timely intervention that saved the life of Mithun, a mild heart attack patient. Mithun, a resident of Alake in Beltangady taluk, survived the ordeal thanks to Pradeep's quick thinking and action.

Mithun experienced a mild heart attack, and his ECG report was sent to Pradeep Nayak by his relatives. Pradeep promptly forwarded the report to renowned cardiologist Dr Padmanabha Kamath, who advised rushing Mithun to KMC Mangaluru immediately.

While Mithun was being transported by car from Tannerupantha Alake near Uppinangady to Mangaluru, Pradeep was traveling by bus to KMC. As the car reached Punjalakatte, Mithun's chest pain worsened. His relatives informed Pradeep, who quickly got off the bus at Vagga. Carrying emergency heart attack medicine, Pradeep administered the drug to Mithun, preventing a more severe attack.

Pradeep also arranged for a KMC ambulance to bypass traffic on the way to Mangaluru, ensuring Mithun was admitted to the hospital promptly. Mithun, who did not know Pradeep beforehand, owes his recovery to Pradeep's extraordinary concern and actions.

Mithun underwent successful surgery and is now healthy, as confirmed by Dr Padmanabha Kamath. Pradeep's selfless act has earned widespread appreciation from the public.

Appreciable act; but what was the emergency medicine he administered on the patient; IMHO; most probably dispersible, high dose, aspirin or/and clopidrogel plus atorvastatin! These tablets act like life savers, especially if the attack is caused by a clot by diluting the clot and give a window period for the patient till he reaches the ER; people with cardiac issues should be carrying a packet containing these salts! Please note that this is a very personal opinion based on my knowledge and perception; kindly take your cardiologists advice before taking any medication😞🙏

You are on the dot; always carry a small packet of dispersible aspirin or clopidrogel, 2tabs; 1tab of atorvastatin; it will have a miraculous effect in most cases of sudden clot formation! 😔🙏
