D.W Publishes every accident and every crime that takes place in Mangalore.Thank you. Its really makes us to think how dangerous Mangalore has become these days.More importantly two areas need more attention to uplift the growth of our Mangalore that is 1. Police department 2.Traffic department. If these two areas doesn't improve then day by day we will have to see more and more accidents, deaths, and robbery. Please monitor the vehicle speeds.Educate bus owning companies.Thumb rule is punish the reckless drivers without mercy.

I have seen during my recent visit to Mangalore that even before the traffic light turns from red to orange, the vehicles are already in the restricted zone as if they are getting ready for a marathon. The policeman/policewoman who is sitting there on the chair is not at all bothered to take those drivers into task in such circumstances. If they cannot do this, then for what purpose are they for? According to me, entering the area before the light turns green is the most dangerous traffic crime that one can commit. This is like jumping the red signal.

Accidents are not pre planned,it will occur. Most of the time it is the mistake of drivers, who not follow traffic rules properly. Speed and hurry the main reason what we see sometimes for the accidents.Drive with normal speed, with caution, always minimise the accidents almost to zero.It is happy to see the passengers are escaped with minor injuries,Thanks to 'GOD'.

There is no proper traffic signals in Mangalore. Install the traffic signals imp junctions of the Mangalore. in the busiest junctions like Kankanady Balmatta Karavali circle Bendoorwell circle RTO circle annd more imp Nanthoor Junction and Pumpwell circle...What traffic police dept is doing i don't know. No proper infrastructure at all......if they build the road by proper planning the we wouldn't have seen these kind of accidents. Forget about driving sense of Bus and Rickshaw drivers.....they sense less...they think themselves as a hero on the roads.Whenever there is a traffic jams traffic police officers just watch and they dont control over the things.......Our MLA's MP's and Corporators are busy in filling their pockets....

This is a busy junction where the traffic merges from all over the place and needs to be monitored well with the help of Police and traffic lights. The nearby bus stops add to the congestion. Perhaps, the authorities should consider introducing the round-about system which is widely popular all over, where the first entrant from the right gets the preference to pass through while taking a turn via the round about either to right or left or drive straight.

I have not seen many such round-abouts in Mangalore, and it`s time that they consider introducing the same as it is has been proved beyond doubt that the accidents get reduced drastically. Some of the other places where round-about may be considered are Nanthoor crossing (both north and south ends), near Kadri Market, Mallikatta, Bunts hostel, Balmatta, Lower Bendur, Bendur Well and Kankanady Chowks, to name a few busy junctions.

You cannot blame like that, even i saw the accident, it's near our office. I am sure it was a misunderstanding b/w the drivers.Above all its a junction u cannot see who is coming from the other side. It's not the 1st time, even i the bus which i travelling 5no had collided with KSRTC long back. So u can,t tell that he has consumed drugs or something..............
Traffic police should do something about the roads. There are PCR (Police Control Room) vans all night long thats good to control such accidents. But Accidents keep on happening, CAN'T STOP IT!!!!!!. . . . . . .

What is wrong with these drivers as we see many many accidents inside the city itself, forget about the highways and bridges.Luckily there were no casualties. Either the driver overworked or he was drunk or consumed some drugs. Let the police handle the case and find out the culprit. It is a shame.
