Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School KG section organises 'Cooking Without Fire' competition

Mangaluru, Dec 23: Lourdes Central School Kindergarten section organized 'Cooking Without Fire' competition for the students of KG2 along with their parents under the banner ‘Creating memories - magic at Lourdes.’ The objective was to promote healthy eating, innovative thinking, and encourage creativity and teamwork.

A total of 22 teams actively participated in this competition. The vibrant display of dishes reflected not only the participants' creativity but also their focus on healthy and sustainable cooking practices. Their hard work truly showcased their incredible talents.

Principal Fr Johnson L Sequiera and vice-principal Belita Mascarenhas inaugurated the event by encouraging words and wishing them the very best for the activity. The parents and the students beautifully presented their dishes with beautiful captions for their counter and captivating names for their dishes.

Prashun Neil D’Souza, an assistant professor in the department of food and beverage service operations at Nitte Institute and Lizzie Lobo, a retired teacher who is an excellent cook, gardener, painter were the judges for the same. The judges were thrilled to see the presentation and excitement of the participants.

At the end, the principal appreciated everyone and honoured the winners with a certificate and gifts. All the participants were honored with a certificate.

This the event fostered a sense of collaboration and strengthened the bond between parents and children, making it an enriching experience for all. Events like these serve as a platform to nurture innovative thinking and teamwork while creating cherished memories that last a lifetime.
