Mangaluru, Jan 8: In a heartwarming act of compassion, Suresh T, who was found in a mentally unstable state near the passport office in Mangaluru on November 22, 2024, was reunited with his family in Tanjavur, Tamil Nadu. The NGO White Doves, led by its founder Corrine, responded promptly after a Good Samaritan notified them of his condition. Suresh was taken to their shelter, where he received care and support, eventually disclosing details of his family.
Suresh’s wife, a pharmacy worker, and his elderly mother, who had been praying for his return, were overjoyed to hear he had been found.
On January 6, 2025, his brother-in-law, a sub-inspector of police, accompanied by two nephews, traveled to Mangaluru to take Suresh home. The family expressed immense gratitude for White Doves’ efforts.
This reunion marks the NGO’s 451st successful case of reconnecting mentally ill individuals with their families. White Doves continues to be a beacon of hope, emphasizing mental health care and the power of human kindness.
