Los Angeles, Jan 11: A catastrophic wildfire has left Los Angeles reeling, with thousands of residents returning to neighbourhoods reduced to ashes. As the blazes continued to ravage the area, with winds expected to pick up again, people from all walks of life waiters to movie stars are grappling with the harsh reality of losing their homes and treasured belongings.

The fires have claimed more than 12,000 structures, including homes, businesses, and landmarks. With at least 11 confirmed deaths and the toll expected to rise, officials are facing intense scrutiny over leadership failures, particularly regarding the unavailability of water in key areas during the fire's peak. Investigations are underway to address the failure of a 117-million-gallon reservoir, which was out of service during the crisis.
