Mangaluru, Jan 17: Padua College of commerce and management, Nanthur, Mangaluru, received five prestigious awards during the National Youth Day celebration organized by the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) and Youth Red Cross (YRC) Mangalore University at University College, Hamapankata.
The awards were presented by Vedavyas Kamath, MLA of Mangaluru North, in recognition of the outstanding contributions made by the college in promoting the ideals of the Youth Red Cross.
The awards received are as follows:
1. District level Indian Red Cross Society best YRC unit award
2. District level IRCS best programme officer award – Prof Roshan Vincy Santhumayor
3. Mangalore University level best performing YRC unit award
4. Mangalore University level best programme officer award – Prof Roshan Vincy Santhumayor
5. Mangalore University level best YRC volunteer award – Mohd Sinan (II BCom)
Fr Arun Wilson Lobo, principal of Padua College of commerce and management, received the honours on behalf of the institution.
The recognition highlights the consistent efforts of Padua College in fostering social responsibility and youth engagement through the Youth Red Cross.
