Tourist, instructor killed in Paragliding accident in North Goa

Panaji, Jan 19: A tragic paragliding accident in North Goa claimed the lives of a 27-year-old woman tourist and her instructor on Saturday evening. Shivani Dable, a resident of Pune, and Sumal Nepali, a 26-year-old Nepalese national, died after crashing into a ravine at Keri village, near Keri Plateau, around 5 pm.

Dable had chosen to paraglide with an adventure sports company operating illegally. According to the complaint, the paraglider plunged shortly after takeoff from a cliff, leading to the fatalities.

A case has been filed at Mandrem police station against the company's owner, Shekhar Raizada, under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita for endangering human life.
