Mangaluru, Mar 10: Activists of a right-wing organisation thwarted an attempt to illegally transport beef and handed over the suspects to the police near the entrance of Kadri Temple in Mangaluru on Monday March 10.

Acting on a tip-off about beef being illegally transported in a tempo, the activists intercepted the vehicle near Kadri Temple. Upon inspection, they discovered the presence of beef in the vehicle. The activists immediately informed the Kadri police.

The police arrived at the scene and conducted a thorough search of the vehicle, finding over 100 kg of beef. The officers seized both the beef and the vehicle involved.

A case has been registered at the Kadri police station, and an investigation is underway.

At least during Ramadan do not consume illegally acquired beef. It might be from stolen cows, dead cows or may be meat from other animals like wild boar or farmed swines!
