Mangaluru, Mar 10: The Kindergarten Graduation Day was an awe-inspiring and heartwarming occasion, brimming with pride, joy, and gratitude, as the school celebrated the remarkable achievements of its young graduates. On March 8 parents, teachers, and students came together to commemorate this significant milestone in the lives of its little learners, making it an unforgettable experience.
The day began with the procession of the little graduates who were accompanied by the dignitaries and their proud parents to the beautifully decorated venue, where they received a grand welcome. The children, dressed in their graduation attire, entered the venue with radiant smiles and eager excitement, filling the room with an infectious sense of happiness. The ceremony commenced with a symbolic gesture of knowledge and wisdom, as Pranavi presented a book and a pen to the esteemed chief guest.












































































The formal opening set the tone for a day of celebration, beginning with an uplifting prayer service, invoking blessings for the children’s future. The students’ energetic welcome dance filled the atmosphere with joy, followed by a warm and heartfelt address from Sr Letitia AC, who expressed gratitude to the parents, teachers, and guests for their unwavering support.
Teacher Shanthi Alvares then welcomed Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC, the joint secretary and superior of the institution, with a potted plant, while Quinn from LKG offered a floral welcome to the chief guest.
The event became even more enchanting as the LKG students serenaded the audience with a beautiful wishing song, expressing their love and good wishes for their graduating peers. One of the most poignant moments of the day was when the UKG students Kashvi K and Elisha D’Souza shared personal reflections, reminiscing about their joyful learning experiences, treasured friendships, and the memories they created in kindergarten.
A moving skit, thoughtfully performed by the students, conveyed timeless values of love, kindness, humility, and sharing, reinforcing the importance of instilling good character in young minds. Parents Ankitha and Florina Castelino also took the stage, offering their heartfelt thanks for the school's role in caring for and educating their children with compassion and dedication.
The celebration embraced cultural richness, as the students performed a vibrant folk dance, showcasing their creativity, enthusiasm, and passion. In a touching gesture of gratitude, the UKG students sang a heartfelt thanking song that moved everyone with emotion and appreciation.
The ceremony reached its peak with the distribution of graduation certificates and mementos, presented by the distinguished chief guest, Dr Teena Sheethal D'Souza, alongside Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC, joint secretary and superior of St Agnes Institutions, Sr Maria Sarika AC, principal, Sr Meena Fernandes, vice principal and Sr Letitia AC, KG coordinator. This moment marked the official transition of the graduates to the next exciting phase of their educational journey.
Coinciding with International Women’s Day, a special felicitation ceremony was held to honour Dr Teena Sheethal D’Souza, who was presented with a shawl by Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC, a garland by Sr Maria Sarika AC, a memento by Sr Letitia AC, and a fruit basket by Tr Shalet Noronha as a token of respect and gratitude.
In her inspiring address, Dr D’Souza highlighted the transformative role of early childhood education in shaping a child’s future and applauded the collective efforts of parents and teachers in nurturing young minds.
Principal Sr Maria Sarika AC then shared her heartfelt appreciation for the teachers, students, and parents who contributed to making the kindergarten years both enriching and joyful.
The event concluded with a sincere vote of thanks by Tr Shalet Noronha followed by a final presentation of mementos. Sr Dr Maria Roopa AC presented a memento to the chief guest, and Sr Letitia AC offered a memento to Sr Maria Roopa AC in gratitude for their support. The day ended with delightful refreshments, leaving everyone with cherished memories.
