Mumbai, Mar 15: In a major crackdown, Mumbai Police busted a high-profile sex racket operating out of a hotel in Hiranandani, Powai, and arrested 60-year-old Shyamsunder Arora. Four women, reportedly models from the film industry, were rescued during the operation.
Acting on a tip-off, police posed as customers and approached Shyamsunder, who allegedly demanded between Rs 70,000 to Rs 1 lac per model. He also sent pictures of four women, claiming their links with the film industry.

As he arrived at the hotel with the women, police sprang into action, rescuing the victims and arresting the accused. Authorities also seized eight mobile phones and Rs 3 lac in cash from the hotel rooms.
Interrogation revealed the involvement of another individual from the Charkop area, with police now searching for the suspect.
A case has been registered against Shyamsunder under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and relevant sections of the Bombay Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The rescued women have been sent to a shelter home for rehabilitation.
