VJ Dixon, an anchor, choreographer, and fashion model, graced the event as the chief guest. Expressing his happiness, he said, “I am grateful to be here today. It is a joy to witness these tiny children showcase their talents. When the teachers approached me, I was happy to say yes because supporting children who are striving for greatness is something I always do. Encouragement, even in small steps, can help dreams go to the next level. While the platform here is modest, the support from teachers and parents will help these children reach bigger platforms. When I was young, my mother and teachers always supported me in competitions like elocution, essays, or drawing.”
Addressing the parents, he said, “Children may not fully understand my message, but the parents here provide a 50-50 platform for the kids to showcase their abilities. Education and books are essential, but how that education shapes the child is just as important. These days, we wake children up to study, send them to school, then home, and later for tuition. But we must also encourage them to engage in other activities. No child should be a bookworm. When we encourage them to grow, they will flourish. Lords International School is a destination for talented children who want to excel in both education and extracurricular talents. I thank the dedicated staff for organizing this event.”
Parents at the event also shared their experiences, highlighting the hard work they put into preparing handmade costumes for their children, from head to toe. This effort reflected the love and support parents have for their children's success. The event was unique in that the school encouraged children to wear costumes from different cultures, promoting diversity and showcasing cultural heritage. The competition was open to both mothers and fathers, reflecting the school's commitment to gender equality.
The judges, including Rashmi Vijayendra, Shilpa Santosh Shetty, and Vinolia Fernandes, appreciated the children's preparation, confidence, and enthusiasm.
