Bengaluru, Mar 17: The teaser of the film Dhruva 369, which carries an innovative title, was unveiled by former Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce president Sa Ra Govindu. Speaking on the occasion, he appreciated the director’s efforts, stating that such dedication is essential for the film industry. He expressed confidence that the filmmakers would receive good opportunities in the future and wished them success.
The event was graced by N M Suresh, actor Ramesh Bhat, and others. The 1-minute-40-second teaser, created using advanced technology, features the legendary Dr Rajkumar and Dr Puneeth Rajkumar, which is a special highlight. The film is being produced by Mangaluru-based entrepreneur Shri Krishna Kantil under the banner of Achintya Studios. The screenplay and direction are by J K Shankarnag.

Raghavendra Rajkumar plays the role of a governor, while Ramesh Bhat portrays a character dealing with conflicts arising from modern technology and science. The film also features Sandeep Malani, Atish Shetty, Chandana, Namitha, and several theater artistes from Mangaluru.
Director Shankarnag revealed that the film is based on a real-life incident from the Kruta Yuga (Satya Yuga). He explained that certain stars remain fixed in the sky, with the Dhruva Nakshatra (Pole Star) being one of them. He likened it to Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar, whose father, Dr Rajkumar, created a legacy. The film aims to showcase their bond through cinematic moments. Inspired by this, the movie explores scientific discoveries made by the present generation.
“As a devoted fan of Puneeth Sir, I had a vision of recreating him on screen, and the producer supported this idea. Beyond Sanatana Dharma, the film emphasizes the importance of Sanatana Science—how development should occur and the values that should be upheld. The film will feature approximately 45% graphics, with only five minutes of shooting remaining. Since 369 is considered a divine number, the movie will explore unknown facts about planets and celestial bodies. If everything goes as planned, the film will be released within a month,” Shankarnag stated.
The film has been shot in Mangaluru, Bengaluru, Nandi Hills, Chikkaballapur, and Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium. The music is composed by Satish Babu, while the editing is handled by Subramanya Airodi.
