Disha Salian case part of political conspiracy: former Maharashtra home minister

Mumbai, Mar 20: Former Maharashtra home minister has claimed that the controversy surrounding the Disha Salian case is a "political conspiracy" aimed at misleading the public and tarnishing reputations.

Speaking to the media, the ex-minister dismissed recent allegations and developments in the case, asserting that vested interests were using the tragedy for political gains. He criticized attempts to revive the issue ahead of elections, questioning the motives behind such renewed focus.

Disha Salian, former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, died in June 2020 after reportedly falling from a high-rise building in Mumbai. While authorities had earlier ruled it as an accidental death, fresh claims have reignited debates, with opposition leaders demanding a reinvestigation.

The former minister urged law enforcement agencies to act based on facts rather than political pressure and called for an end to what he termed as ‘sensationalism for electoral benefits.’ Meanwhile, officials have reiterated that any new evidence in the case will be thoroughly examined.
