Udupi, Mar 20: Varnothsava-2K25, an inter-collegiate techno-cultural fest, was inaugurated at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal on March 20.
Alumnus of the institute Pawan Kumar Shetty, lead design engineer, Texas Instruments, Dallas was the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony. In his address to the gathering, he cherished the moments spent at SMVITM and insisted the students to use the social media platforms for the betterment of the society.










Usha Bhat, another alumnus of the institute and senior faculty of music at TBOSM was the guest of honour. In her address, she appreciated the efforts of SMVITM in organizing these events for the benefit of the students. Also, she called the students to learn to respect teachers, elders and parents. She insisted the students inculcate values along with their professional life.
Rathnakumar, secretary SSVMET, in his address conveyed his best wishes to all the participants and insisted the students having interest in art and music, to continue practicing the same hobby along with the professional journey.
The dignitaries inaugurated the fest by lighting the lamp.
P Srinivas Tantry, vice-president of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust (SSVMET), Udupi, presided over the ceremony. Paul Suraj Noronha, physical education director and student welfare officer Dr Raviprabha K announced the winners of sports and winners of various in-house cultural and technical events of Manthana-2K25.
Shravya Tantry welcomed the gathering. Raksha Shetty rendered an invocation and Prerana Rao proposed the vote of thanks. Herschel D'Mello and Mansi Rao compered the programme.
Principal Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, vice principal Dr Ganesh Aithal, institutional extra-curricular coordinator Roshan S Kotian and others were present on the occasion.
