Mumbai, Mar 21: The Maharashtra State Board of Education has announced that Class 1 students will receive newly designed textbooks starting June, aiming to enhance foundational learning with an updated curriculum.
According to education department officials, the revised textbooks have been developed in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, incorporating interactive and activity-based learning methods to make education more engaging for young learners. The new syllabus will focus on improving language skills, numeracy, and cognitive development.

Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar stated that the initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize school education in Maharashtra. "These textbooks have been designed to make learning more student-friendly and enjoyable. We are committed to providing quality education from the foundational level," he said.
The new textbooks will be distributed before the academic session begins in June, ensuring a smooth transition for students and teachers alike.
