Sullia: Wild elephant damages crops in Subramanya, causes havoc in Aranthodu

Sullia, Mar 24: A wild elephant entered the plantation of Sri Harihareshwara Temple in Harihara Pallathadka and nearby farms on Saturday night, causing extensive damage.

The elephant damaged areca nut, coconut, and banana crops in the plantations of Kamalaksha Devaragadde and Subbamma Devaragadde near the temple.

In another incident, a wild elephant wreaked havoc in the Hariyali Farms plantation owned by Dharmateja Noojalu at Kallugundi, Kadepala in Sullia taluk.

The animal damaged fences, areca nut and coconut trees, as well as jackfruit crops.
