Kochi, Sep 11: Excise officials on Friday arrested a 28-year-old man and seized 305 grams of methamphetamine from his residence in Mattancherry.
The accused has been identified as Shifas AS (28), a resident of Mattancherry.
Acting on information gathered following recent drug seizure cases, Excise officials had reportedly kept Shifas under surveillance for about a week before raiding his residence.

During the search, officials recovered 305 grams of methamphetamine, allegedly packed in small quantities in several packets. They also seized more than Rs 2.9 lakh in cash, suspected to have been earned through drug trafficking.
