Udupi: Koppal fisherman missing after falling into Arabian Sea

Udupi, Sep 11: A 42-year-old man from Koppal district went missing after allegedly slipping and falling into the Arabian Sea while engaged in fishing activities.

The missing person has been identified as Ashok (42), a resident of Koppal district.

Ashok had reportedly set out from Malpe towards Kaup on the evening of September 8 aboard a fishing boat named Jayaganesh. While carrying out work on the boat during the night, he allegedly lost his footing and fell into the sea.

He has remained untraceable since the incident. A case has been registered at the Malpe police station, and further investigation is underway.
